This place is run by absolute sweethearts, and it is easy to order books there if they don't have it in stock. They even ask for input on what book cover you'd prefer they order for you.

The comfiest bookstore you’ll ever find! This shop has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that’s hard to match anywhere else. I’ve visited a few times, usually after catching a movie at the theater nearby, but my favorite time to stop by is at night. On my last visit, they were setting up for a game night. Within minutes, people started coming in, strangers at first, but soon laughing and chatting like old friends. The environment is so naturally friendly and inviting that it brings people together. I wished I’d stayed longer, but I was not in the social butterfly mood. Beyond the wonderful vibe, their book selection is great. No matter what kind of reader you are, you’ll definitely find something that catches your eye.

Super cute small bookstore! Always great to support local businesses. They have a ton of events for kids and adults. Staff is very sweet.

A beautiful small bookstore with a great aged feel in terms of the interior. I really like how the place looks, the skylight being one of the things that really stuck out to me. With the books there are generally not much considering this is a very small bookstore but that is expected, the workers there are very nice and generous as well

Stumbled on this bookstore on my way to the Kew Gardens Cinemas. I was instantly impressed with the setting & ambience of this well put together bookstore. There is even a little space for kids to come & read. The owner Vina was very pleasant, professional & eager to help. This will now become my go to spot for a quiet read. Hope to see you there. Highly recommended.

My favorite independent bookstore. The space itself is inviting, cozy with a touch of whimsy. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. And their book selections are top tier. If you are visiting the Kew Gardens neighborhood, make sure to make a stop at Kew and Willow and experience the magic of this adorable shop!

Great bookstore. The customer service was incredible. The attendant was super helpful, friendly and attentive. I found everything I was looking for here. The store was super clean and well kept. I enjoyed my time here. There are a lot of young adult books that could also be used as adults, super interesting. There’s a really cool section for children. I thought that was brilliant. Their little reading area is super cute. There’s metered parking available around the area. The Q10 bus stops very close to the store also.

This local bookstore has become my ultimate comfort place throughout my 4+ years living in Queens. On a beautiful day, I’ll even walk all the way to Kew and Willow from Forest Hills. The staff is incredibly warm and inviting — always excited to provide a great reading recommendation or to have a chat. The curation of titles is excellent and it truly has a community-oriented feel. I wish my work schedule gave me more flexibility to go to EVEN MORE of the events (and when it does I’ll be there!), but the ones I have gone to are beautifully organized and a much needed safe space in these crazy times we’re living in. I’ll go out of my way to not only recommend this shop, but to pre-order my favorite titles there so I can support Kew and Willow in every way possible. I feel so incredibly lucky to have a local bookstore like Kew and Willow that I come back to time and time again — where I can feel a sense of quiet joy and comfort. I will never stop going and I can’t recommend enough for all fellow book lovers to come through their doors. Thank you to the Kew and Willow team for bringing magic. x
